Most of my "free" time for the past six weeks or so has been devoted to how this site works, on screen and behind the scenes, rather than what it contains. I've enjoyed it a lot, but now that I am almost ready to roll out the new look, which will be very like the old look, I have an odd problem. What don't I need?
Of course I like the idea of people visiting my website(s), but I am not a slave to any kind of analysis. I seldom look at the numbers I gather from the stats package provided by my host, and even more rarely at Google Analytics (which this site does not have). And the only changes I make as a result of looking at those stats is, occasionally, to fix a broken internal link.

Oh boy, am I on top of my game, or what?
It has been an absolutely delightful month. There was some hot weather, and some wonderful thunderstorms. The neighbourhood was empty, which pushed us to discover some nice new (to us) places for morning coffee. They won't replace our bar, but it was fun to be somewhere new. The terrace was blooming wonderful.
Life has been good.
