What their parents do doesn't matter a hoot--it's the other children eating carrots that transforms their lunchroom into a rabbits' warren. Also, kids have tiny stomachs and cannot afford such wasteful veggies as peas and artichoke hearts. Half a cup of carrots provides a child with a full complement of vitamin A, and broccoli does the same with C. They are both super-efficient foods.
