A geeky Skype tip

Stupid, I know, to resume blogging with a nerdy Skype tip, but this is handy. I wanted to print a chat,1 but couldn’t find a way to do so. Then I read at the Skype forum that you just type /htmlhistory where you would normally type text into the chat, and it opens the chat in a Browser window. from there it is easy to print the whole thing or cut and paste just the bits you need into a text document.

There are probably loads of other similar tweaks, but I don’t currently need them.

Footnotes:
  1. Yeah, yeah, paperless office, yada yada yada. []

If I ever need to do this I’ll just remember to look here. Am I right in thinking you use an iPod Touch? Jajah might be worth a look. If you use Skype… looks like it’ll be available for the iPod next week.

Never heard of Jajah — and to be honest I can’t quite see how it works — but to use it with the iPod Touch you would need third party microphone. Not impossible, but I suspect I’ll fall for a proper iPhone first. Especially if it supports a Bluetooth keyboard.
