@Sam – Many completely loopy ideas have been laid on Mullis, and there may be a grain of truth to some of them, but essentially I think that what you see is what you get. A maverick, who may be right and may be wrong, but who has hiw own style and approach.

I’m not convinced by his climate change arguments at all, but everything else he said about the importance of demonstrating and experimenting, alongwith the stuff about Boyle was entertaining and thought provoking. Speaking of Mullis, I take it you seen this PCR, who’s the daddy? video too?
