Like you, I can't see how Terminator seeds would entirely swamp a farmer's field. and don't forget, these have to be 1st generation Terminator seeds, as bought from the Evil Corporation. The offspring of Terminator plants will terminate.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('8894','Jeremy','Like you, I can\'t see how Terminator seeds would entirely swamp a farmer\'s field. and don\'t forget, these have to be 1st generation Terminator seeds, as bought from the Evil Corporation.
I saw an article on this recently, and wondered what you thought of it. The story peddled there was that modified seeds would blow onto the lands of small farmers (the agency of the Evil Corporation in this process was left ambiguous). The hardier GM seeds would then outcompete the native seeds and take over the field. They would then die off, leaving the peasants high and dry. I don't know if this is true, but it at least seemed like a plausible process. Now that I think about it, however, this story seems like it would require an incredible amount of GM seed to be blown over the fields... Is it at all plausible, or is there no way for terminator seeds to take over a field in a single generation?
